What we collect

DuCrochet is not open yet. The only thing this site asks you for is an email address, so we can tell you once when it opens.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Nidal Ghonaim, an Individual Entrepreneur (Անհատ ձեռնարկատեր) registered in the Republic of Armenia, state registration number 286.1576409, of 27 N. Tigranyan Street, Arabkir, Yerevan 0014, Republic of Armenia. For anything on this page, contact hello@ducrochet.com.

What we collect and why

Your email address

Collected only when you submit the form yourself. We then send you one email asking you to confirm, and you are only added to the launch list once you click the link in it. If you never click, we never email you again. Once you do, we send your founding code, and then one more email when the shop opens. Three in total, and nothing else. We do not sell your address, share it, or send anything else. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Giving us your email is entirely optional. Nothing on this site requires it. If you would rather not, the only thing that happens is that you will not get the launch email.

Your IP address

Our host counts requests per IP address at its network edge, so the form cannot be flooded. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form working and our costs under control. We do not store your IP address ourselves; our host also records it in standard server logs.

Anonymous usage statistics

We count page views and how quickly pages load, so we can tell whether the site works. We can also see where a visit came from. This uses no cookies and no cross-site tracking, and does not identify you individually. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site.

Who else processes it

• Resend stores the launch list and sends the launch email.
• Vercel hosts the site and provides the usage and performance statistics above.

Where your data goes

We are based in Armenia, and Resend and Vercel are both United States companies. Our email is processed in Resend’s EU region (Ireland), but the companies themselves are US-based, so US access is possible under the agreements below.

Armenia is not covered by an EU adequacy decision. Transfers to our processors rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into their data processing agreements, with the UK Addendum for transfers from the UK. Resend additionally participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards that apply to you.

How long we keep it

If you never confirm, your address sits unconfirmed and is never emailed again. Confirmation links stop working after 7 days. Otherwise your address is kept until the shop opens and the launch email has gone out, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. After the launch email is sent we delete the list, unless you have separately asked to keep hearing from us. That follows from what the form promises: one email, and nothing else.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data deleted
• ask us to restrict how we use it
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests
• receive your data in a portable form, or have it sent to someone else
• withdraw your consent at any time

• in Armenia, the Personal Data Protection Agency at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia
• in the EU, EEA or UK, your own national data protection authority

Automated decisions

We do not make any automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you.
